Homemade Margherita Flatbread Pizza Recipe
 
 
Serves: 4-5
Ingredients
Dough:
  • 1¾ Cups flour
  • ½ TSP sugar
  • 1 TSP kosher salt
  • ½ TSP garlic powder
  • 1 package activated dry yeast
  • 1 TSP olive oil
  • 1½ Cups water
Pizza:
  • 2 TBSP Olive oil
  • 1 TSP Garlic Powder
  • 2 TBSP Balsamic Vinegar
  • Fresh Mozzarella, sliced
  • 2 Tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 Bunch of fresh basil
  • Kosher salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
Instructions
Dough Instructions:
  1. Combine all dry ingredients in mixing bowl
  2. Add olive oil and blend
  3. Drizzle water in until starts to form a dough. You may not need all the water.
  4. Knead with the butt of your hand to smoothen the dough
  5. Ball the dough and place in greased bowl.
  6. Cover bowl and dough with damp towel and let rise in warm location for one hour.
  7. Lightly flour board and cut dough into four sections.
  8. Roll out dough balls into flat sheets.
  9. Grill pan on high heat, grill each sheet 3 to 4 minutes per side.
Pizza Instructions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Place bread onto baking sheets
  3. Combine olive oil and garlic powder
  4. Coat bread with olive oil mixture
  5. Cover bread with mozzarella slices
  6. Cover with sliced tomatoes
  7. Sprinkle with salt and pepper
  8. Bake for five minutes
  9. Sprinkle with salt and pepper
  10. Combine remaining olive oil mixture with balsamic vinegar
  11. Drizzle oil & vinegar over pizzas
  12. Sprinkle each pizza with freshly chopped basil and serve
