Sometimes, I get in the mood for a good juicy burger (like this one here), but I want something different from your standard beef burger, (as awesome as they are)! For this burger recipe, I did a mashup of bbq chicken and hamburgers to make delicious BBQ Chicken Burgers!
Using ground chicken made into patties, onions, seasonings and bbq sauce (I used store-bought, but you can make your own), you can enjoy these chicken burgers for a delicious lunch or dinner.
Serve with chips, coleslaw, fries or your favorite side dish!

BBQ Chicken Burger Recipe: How To Make Barbecue Ground Chicken Burgers
- 1 LB Ground Chicken
- 1 Cup BBQ Sauce
- ¼ Cup Yellow Onion, Chopped
- ⅛ TSP Cayenne Pepper
- ¼ TSP Black Pepper
- ¼ TSP Kosher Salt
- ¼ TSP Paprika
- 2 TBSP Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 TSP Garlic, Minced
- 2-3 TBSP Chicken Stock (or butter or oil)
- In large bowl combine all ingredients, reserving ½ Cup BBQ Sauce
- Mix / Combine with hands and form into 5 patties
- Preheat skillet or grill pan over medium heat
- Add stock, butter or oil
- Add patties
- Cook 8 - 10 minutes per side (add cheese on top of patties at the end if desired)
- Using remaining BBQ Sauce, spread on one side of bun to taste
- Top buns with burger, lettuce with tomatoes, and any other toppings
- Serve with your preferred side dish
