It’s hard to think of childhood without remembering good ole sloppy joes. It usually resulted in messy hands and sometimes more of it landed on my plate than stayed in the bun. But they were oh so delicious (even if it came out of a can). But this isn’t just a plain, everyday sloppy joe recipe. It’s a homemade, cheesy, crockpot bbq sloppy joe recipe!

Crockpot BBQ Sloppy Joe Recipe: Homemade Barbecue Sloppy Joes In A Slow Cooker
- 1 TSP Olive Oil
- 1 Medium Onion, Rough Chop
- 1 LB Ground Beef
- 1 TSP Onion Powder
- 1 TSP Garlic Powder
- 1 TSP Celery Salt
- 1 Chopped Red Bell Pepper
- 1 Chopped Green Bell Pepper
- 1 TBSP Minced Garlic
- ½ Cup Ketchup
- 1 Cup BBQ Sauce
- 1 Cup Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- Pinch Salt and Pepper
- A Couple Dashes Worcestershire Sauce
- Add Olive Oil to Skillet on Medium high
- Add Onion
- Cook for 2 -3 minutes
- Add beef
- Add Onion Powder, Garlic Powder and Celery Salt and dash salt and pepper
- Cook until browned
- Strain beef and pour into crock pot
- Add Bell Peppers, Garlic, Ketchup, BBQ Sauce, Cheddar Cheese, Worcestershire Sauce, pinch of salt and pepper
- Cover and cook on low 4 to 6 hours or 2 -3 hours on high.
- Stir occasionally while cooking to prevent burning on sides.
