Steaks and the grill are two of my favorite things! There’s nothing that turns a good steak into a great one than bringing out the flavor that comes from grilling.
This grilled petite sirloin steak recipe was marinated for 24 hours for maximum flavor. You can marinate for a shorter time if you don’t want to wait.
Grill over direct heat for about 3-5 minutes on each side (or a bit longer according to your desired doneness). If you want a well done steak (like my family prefers), continue cooking on indirect heat for another 10 minutes or so for each side.
Here are the cooking temperatures (all in Fahrenheit) according to how done you want your steak (using a meat thermometer).
Well done: about 165-170 degrees
Medium Well: 155-165 degrees
*Medium Rare: 130 – 135 degrees (Recommended cooking doneness for steak)
Medium: 140 -150 degrees
Rare: 120-130 degrees
