You don’t need to go to a hoagie shop to enjoy a really good Philly Cheese Steak. You can make a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich that hits the right spot without even leaving home!
Ingredients for this cheese steak include Provolone cheese, thinly sliced skirt steak, onions, green bell peppers and a hoagie bun.
I know there’s an ongoing debate about what kind of cheese makes an “authentic” or “classic” Philly Cheese Steak. Some feel Cheeze Whiz is a must (feel free to substitute that for the Provolone). Others say shelve the Cheeze Whiz, it’s not really cheese. Give me the Provolone or American! I will let you decide on which cheese is the winner here (though I did pick Provolone for this recipe, so I guess you know my real favorite already)!
A delicious homemade Philly Cheesesteak recipe, made from scratch! Enjoy it for a hearty lunch or add this to your Super Bowl or football party menu!
