This easy beef pot pie recipe is all about “comfort food.” And for me, meat pies definitely fit the bill! Something about beef pot pie just makes me feel like everything is right in the world, at least while I’m eating it!
I cook the meat and the rest of the filing in a skillet to be certain the meat is moist, juicy and tender enough for a pie. You don’t want chewy or tough beef for this meal! Once the filling is cooked, it’s time to assemble the pie in the pie pan. For this, we use a crust layered pie pan and top the pie with a second crust. Don’t forget the vent holes!
Since the filling is cooked on the stove top, it only takes 25 minutes to bake up the pie to a nice golden brown.
I’m telling you, this is a nice hearty meal that is guaranteed to satisfy everyone. Give it a shot, let me know of any variations and how it turned out for you!
